What a nice metaphor in my opinion! Loosely translated, it means the following:
“The Happiest moment is when you sleep till you wake up naturally, while counting money till your fingers numbed! Vice versa, The Most sorrowful moment is when you are rudely woken up by a cramp in your hand, and counting money is never a reality for you!”
I do have the priviledges in indulging on the first part of the happiest moments ,that is enjoying my sleeps on weekends. Yesterday was no exception.
Then, as usual, I was thinking what to have for my brunch after waking up. Without long comtemplation, I decided to go to Jonker street to try out the self-proclaimed best “Nyonya chang” in town.
This is it:

This is what I am craving for when come to May every year:
- The Authentic “Nyonya chang” in the making!
- The all needed ingredients which I know how to enjoy but no ideas on how to make it!
This year it is selling at RM4 compared to RM3.50 per piece last year. See how expensive the inflation is, an increase of ~14%,even higher than my annual wage increment! Nabeh really!
Well, don’t talk about $$$ when come to good food :
- See! This was the chang I had. tasted good!
Frankly speaking, some homemade ones which i tried earlier are slightly better than this one. What a pity is the homemade ones are always of limited edition. Hence, like people said if you can’t get the sweetest grapes,let’s be satisfied with the sour ones. I ate 3 at one go n then Burps! Glutinous rice really makes people feeling full easily!
After this “chang” brunch, we adjourned to Dataran Pahlawan to look out for some STANDOUT ideas for myself,as preparation for the coming Nuffnang & Tiger STANDOUT party.
Stopped by @ few boutiques and tried on some nice shirts:
- I like the “Dai Hong” mark on this blue shirt!
- woww! pretty STANDOUT in colour hor?
eeiii….this makes me feel like a gigolo on sale!
Stop laughing at me,pls ! Not my fault as I was pestered by the promoter to try on this as I told him I need something to look standout. #$%^&*&*!!! What an idiot of him to ask a manly guy like me to try on this girly outfit!
Well, I stopped here for the day and the search is still going on! I have 5 more days to look for the best fit! Ha, nevertheless, I managed to get a pair of Paul Smith canvas sneakers! Not bad after all for the day….
