The Year 2012, a.k.a MMXII ! Does that ring a bell to you? If you don’t know what I am talking about, you better pay attention now before it is too late:
To be more precise, December 21 2012 has been suggested as the end of the world. One famous theory says that on an ancient Mayan calendar 2012 points to the end of the world.
In fact, there are many 2012 end of the world predictions. I will highlight few most intriguing theories to you:
1. The LHC (Large Hadron Collider)
- The LHC is a circular tunnel 27 km around, bisected by the Franco-Swiss border. Currently is the greatest basic science endeavor in history.

- This single-minded group of men and women hails from more than 80 countries. They represent almost every religion and ethnicity on Earth—embodying curiosity, cooperation, brilliance and ingenuity on the grandest scale.

What is the experiment in this gigantic tunnel?
- Over 100-billion protons will traverse its pathways at near-light speed, guided by some 9,300 superconducting magnets, each weighing several tons and chilled to temperatures colder than deep space. At four points in the tunnels, the counter-revolving protons are to smash into one another at a rate of nearly one billion per second.

At the crossing points, huge detectors are in place to register the tiny wisps of debris that emerge from each of the collisions.
It is during these clashes, nobody can guarantee if any untoward catastrophe will not happen…
- One of these instruments has enough iron to re-construct the Eiffel Tower; another is two-and-a-half times larger than the Parthenon and taller than the Colossus of Rhodes.

On an ancient MAYAN CALENDAR, 2012 is an IMPORTANT DATE. The Mayan Calendar runs out on December 21 2012 and it has been suggested that they knew something we don’t.
This is the basis of what has been called the Mayan caleandar 2012 Prophecy.

3. A very real possibility is DISEASE – we have seen how quickly it can spread and devastate human life on earth. And there has been talk of the threat of pandemics for several years now. Including the recent Swine Flu pandemic.
4. Will SOLAR FLARES snuff out the earth on December 21 2012 – solar flares seem to come in cycles and NASA have said that the sun is due for a big one around 2012. What we do know is that our life on earth is deeply affected by the activity of the sun.
5. Others believe that a PLANET X: NIBIRU, two thirds earth’s size, will pass through our solar system around 2012 causing polar axis shifts on earth.
Well, these are some of the theories about the Judgement day….I just wondered if our former PM knows about this date, he would have changed his Vision 2020 to 2012, Dec 20th.
