I had it in dried form!

One of my favourite food is Bak Kut Teh (肉骨茶), a Chinese soup popularly served in Singapore, Malaysia, China, Taiwan and also, cities of neighbouring countries like Batam of Indonesia and Hat Yai of Thailand.

The name literally translates as “meat bone tea”, and, at its simplest, consists of meaty pork ribs simmered in a complex broth of herbs and spices (including star anise, cinnamon, cloves, dang gui, fennel seeds and garlic) for hours.

But I have my first time trying Dried Bak Kut Teh recently and i will share with you how it looks like in this blog post:

The shop name is called Yap Chuan (叶 全) and definitely is not a descendant of Ip MAN (叶 问) as the latter is known for Wing Chun, not Bak Kut Teh! I hope so!

Back to this DRIED bak kut teh, is located in Bandar Puchong Utama, full address as following:

It is famous for its Dried Bak Kut Teh and was introduced by Ah Xian in one of his shows:

The main dish is absolutely tasty and not too spicy. Nevertheless, it tastes more like Gong Bo flavour than typical herbal tea to me. But it is definitely yummylicious:

Yes, the coveted dish is cooked single handedly by a boy who is only 17 years old today. He was taught by his father in bak kut teh cooking in his young age. He was dubbed the Bak Kut Teh King at 14 after winning the national Bak Kut Teh competition!

Yes, finally i got a glimpse of the celebrity chef when he turned around!

Now, I understand why there was a boy kept photographed repeatedly with Ah Xian !
