The Star’s latest headline reads following:
MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat and his former deputy Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek have agreed to work as a team to unite the party and resolve together issues confronting the party leadership. Ong said Dr Chua had agreed to work with him without pre-conditions to strengthen and unite the party. Describing it as the “greater unity plan”.
And they post for a photo together to show their sincerity in reconciliation…..

When I read about this new slogan-Greater Unity Plan and see above photo,immediately came to my mind is one of my favourite food.
This dish is found easily in some of the states in Malaysia like Penang, KL & Melaka. It’s sauce is a little similar to rojak sauce but less pungent. Called “You Ee Ong Chai ” or Sotong Kangkung in Bahasa Malaysia.

I’d liken the current MCA leaders to the ingredients found in this dish. Why?
The green vegetable or better known as kangkong is representing Datuk Seri Ong TK & Datuk Seri Chai See Li (Chua Soi Lek). One reason is because of kangkong’s mandarin name pronounced as Ong Zhai = Ong + Chai. Secondly, both of them still do not show sign of retreat eventhough the recent EGM has voted them out from the Malaysia largest Chinese political party leadership-MCA. This augurs well for the kangkung which is cheapskate in values!
While the main ingredient -brown and pre-soaked squid represents the apparent winner of this crisis- Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, who has taken an easy and lucky promotion from VP to now Deputy President of the party, the post previously held by Dr.Chua SL. As he is also accused of betraying Ong Ticket Tee Keat, this makes him as slithery (cunning) as the brown squid!
The sweet sauce (Sia Kau) is representing Datuk Wong Fook Min, the party Sec Gen, important to the party but not much value in the whole drama,just like the Sia kau in the dish,just a sauce! And the grounded peanuts should go to Datuk Ng Yen Yen, smell good (giving an Yin factor) but also not the main cast in this drama, or just like in the dish. The Chilli sauce which is usually put at the side should represent another VP -Datuk Kong Cho Ha,who is currently the most low profile VP and who knows,may spice up MCA one day down the road!!!
So,pls see again if they really look compatible to my favourite dish: I think so!

Now you understand what does the slogan Greater Unity Plan means? None of them is dispensable to the party,just like the ingredients in the dish!!!! This is what they think of course………..!@#$%^&*()
