These days, thinking of what to have for lunch is just as hard as thinking of new year targets for myself. But not for today, thankfully.
Today, we went for a hot and spicy meal, main ingredient is the hot Bird’s eye chili (a.k.a chili padi in Malay).

The small but packs quite a lot of heat in it- Cili Padi
This ingredient is cooked with meehoon. There is not much spices or ketchup added except plenty of these hot chilies.
This is it---Chili Padi meehoon
This famous dish is very much liked by the locals, even some Singaporeans know of its existence in this outskirt town of Melaka, Durian Tunggal.
Besides this dish, you can order for the fried rice too:
Another dish-Fried rice
Then, let’s have some fried eggs too:

But if you need chicken, they do have the home made Rendang chicken:
The Rendang chicken, the curry is thick and aromatic
The old fashioned kopitiam-like stall
the usual lunch buddies
And the main cook
This owner inherited this small business from his mother and according to him, this stall has been around for more than 30 years without much change in the way of cooking and the food menu.Even the dishes is served in wooden cabinet:
The dishes are kept in wooden cabinet....old fashioned...isnt it?
One thing noteworthy is they cook with charcoal, not gas:
The lady owner is seen fanning the charcoal burning flames from time to time
Well, this is the famous stall:
The stall
But I don’t see any name for this stall. When the owner overheard this, he directed me to check the stall name inside the shop, not at the entrance. Hence, I went to check out and to my surprise, the name is truly hung proudly inside, near the cashier desk:
The stall's name on a car plate??
