Satu lagi Projek daripada Kerajaan Cina!!!

Again, I have proof that everything is possible if we never say NO and continue to work hard on it. For example, I always ask around why can’t we have a bridge linking Peninsula Malaysia to the Borneo island especially Sarawak or Sabah. However, many people told me this is impossible as the distance is too far away.

A bridge links the Peninsula and Borneo??

A bridge links the Peninsula and Borneo??

Today, China has announced the construction of the world’s longest sea bridge connecting Hong Kong & Macau with China.

The Y-shaped bridge, whose construction began on Tuesday, will start from the Lantau Island in Hong Kong, with two ends respectively located in Macao and Zhuhai, China’s southern economic hub of Guangdong province, reports Xinhua news agency.

The total length of the bridge is about 50 kilometer, of which 35 kilometer will be built over the sea. It will take only 30 minutes to travel from Zhuhai to Hong Kong or Macao to Hong Kong after the completion, compared with the current three hours.

Armed with the earthquake resistance structure and anti-hurricane technology, the bridge is expected to serve for 120 years.

“It can withstand the impact of a strong wind with a speed of 51 meters per second… and it can also resist the impact of 8-magnitude quake,” said Zhu Yongling, the official in charge of the construction.

The project, which costs about 73 billion yuan ($10.7 billion USD), is financed jointedly by mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao.

How will the longest bridge work??

This is how the longest bridge works....

See?? I must agree that China is developing extremely fast and advance these days.

One wise man gave me these words: “First comes thought; then organization of that thought into ideas and plans; then transformation of those plans into reality. The beginning,as you will observe,is in your imagination.”
