Yes, the much delayed infamous mall was open yesterday (Friday). I made a working visit (for Talkkok) to it yesterday night itself.
If you look at the background of this photo, then you will see this notice:
The original Opening in Dec 09 was postponed following a fatal gas explosion that killed a 25-year-old supervisor while injuring 16 others. 2nd injured guy succumbed to his injury after 1 or 2 week.

May the souls rest in peace. Nevertheless, you need not worry about going to the mall as it is certainly safe for visit or shopping.
Well, I can’t finished all shops on one night thus I went there again this morning.
I ordered one Tom Yam meehoon and one mixed grilled:
The wonder black stone:
Well, this is the newly opened AEON Bandaraya Melaka, pretty big and a nice place to unwind and shop.
Contrary to some speculations, AEON Bandaraya Melaka is not the largest ÆON shopping centre in Malaysia. The largest ÆON shopping centre in the country is the AEON Bukit Tinggi Shopping Centre in Klang, Selangor which was built with the costs of about RM350 million with a gross built-up floor area of approximately 2,100,000 square feet (195,000 m2) with over 5,000 car park bays.
Anyway, this is for sure another crowd puller for the coming years…..Bravo! Melaka BOLEH!!!
