The Last Day in Hong Kong!!

The last day in Hong Kong was equally eye-opening for us.  In the morning, we finally had a chance to try HOng Kong’s Dim Sum. We also found out that most of the chinese restaurants do serve dim sum in the morning.

So, we went to one which was nearby to our hotel.

We had dim sum in this restaurant

it was almost full with customers

char siew pau

lou sau pau--this was good

siu long pau

chicken feet of course

fu chuk

the rest

The dim sum was good though there are many more which are more famous than this.

After dim sum, we went to HK island again to experience another attraction of Hong Kong.

see, many people is queuing up for this...

this is the one-ding ding tram

this is how the upper deck looked like

it was cruising on the electric tracks

It cost only HK$2 per ride and it travels from West to East of HK island.

Along the journey, you can see clearly the hong kong city thus it is strongly recommended that one should take Ding Ding when visiting HK.

Next we headed to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).

Hk Convention center

The Golden Bauhinia flower,a gift from the Chinese gov to HK in conjunction with the return in 1997

The sculpture, a gilded flower bauhinia, is 6 meters high. The major part is composed of a bauhinia on a base of red granite pillar on a pyramid. The sculpture is very deemed an important symbol for the Hong Kong people after reunification.

After this, we went to yet another famous landmark in Causeway Bay:

The famous Times Square shopping mall

Kui Kei branch in HK...

Another famous gift & cookies shop--Kei Wah

well, we bought some of these for our return!!

After this half day touring the HK island, we got to catch our flight back to LCCT  in Macau.

I think HK is never a boring place, especially to those who follow their cultures and tv series since young,it meant alot to me……the building, the places, the people and even the road signs do remind me of the series that I used to watch during my childhood.

How did we feel about this trip? Just look at our smiles, though tired but we felt great about this, especially with this nice group of fellas. Young, Energetic, Interesting…and of course charming!!!!!

Note: This is the last part of my recent holidays to Macau & Hong Kong in last Dec 09. Hopefully, I can make another nice trip in this year……….
