A Thai cuisine not to be missed….

One Saturday, we went to the new Jusco for our brunch. Earlier I blogged about the Stone Grill restaurant and now I’d like to recommend another restaurant just opposite the Stone Grill outlet.

This is a Thai restaurant named “Lerk Thai”,not necktie!

The interior of Lerk Thai

This is the fried rice, not bad

the signature dish-Tom Yam clear soup served in fat and round clay pot

The seafood was very fresh too

Tom Yam Seafood Soup

This is a must try if you are there. The version at Lerk Thai is invigorating. With fresh prawns, squid and fish slices, it is mildly hot and sour – great for those who cannot tolerate too much spiciness. But trust me, it’s hot enough!!! I need few pcs of tissues….. The preparation of this soup relies heavily on the use of fresh herbs and spices thus making it a healthier dish.

The TomYam soup seems not too spicy but don't be fooled by it!

It's proven lotsa herbs and spices are used in the Tomyam

Another nice dish i ordered was the Pineapple Rice, served with chicken floss, cashew nuts and fresh prawns and yellow rice.

And the famous Thai dish-the Pineapple rice

yummylicious!

nothing is left!!

Shiok! and the price was even more surprising:

quite exorbitant for 3 dishes

Though it is expensive but I must say it is one of the best Thai cuisine in town.

In fact, a check on the internet reveals that Lerk Thai is a famous Singapore based Thai Restaurant in the island, operating few outlets and offering franchise business licenses to any interested party.

Some of the gourmet dishes recommended:

Hi! This is my first time on your blog. Got some good info here. I am trying to track down a rumor I keep running into. I have read the Chinese military had a clandestine lab near Stung Treng. They were supposedly testing some hallucinogenic drug like acid that made you think you were having an out of body experience. Anyone have any info about it?
