A photo posted in the Star today shocked me,at the same time intrigued me too:
“Mayday-mayday-mayday”!!!! The western Australia’s capital of Perth recorded its wettest March day since 1971 when 120-kilometer (75-mile) winds and hailstones almost as large as tennis balls hit the city on this Monday.
Heavy rain, flash flooding, large hailstones and high winds left a trail of destruction across Perth with the damage bill tipped to exceed $100 million.
The freak storm hurled hailstones the size of tennis balls as winds of more than 120kmh tore roofs from houses and uprooted trees.

Cars had their windscreens and back windows smashed by the hailstones, while hazardous driving conditions worsened when 150 sets of traffic lights went blank.

I personally experienced hailstorm before when I was visiting Munich. It was scary and loud when the iced stones falling on the car.
Nevertheless, i find this natural phenomenon interesting and hope to see this happening in our shores here.
So, for this catastrophe in Perth, who was the main loser? Of course, the insurance companies. At this time of writing, hundreds of claims have been swarmping their claims offices.
Is our planet in danger? Surely I’d say yes due to worsening climate changes. So, be warned!
