A Nourishing Lunch……

Earlier i recommended 2 restaurants in the new Jusco Melaka, one is the Sizzling StoneGrill western food and the other one is the Lerek Thai Restaurant.

Now, let me share with you another one: Tang Shifu (Master in Chinese herbal soups).

Tang Shifu-herbal soups specialty restaurant

But the full name is called YS Hamper Tang Shifu because this restaurant is also offering an assortment of expensive hampers which packages exotic food items like abalone, ginseng, Cordyceps, Bird’s nests, wines, etc, unlike the cheapskate common stuffs like Julie’s love letters, Cola, local cookies…..

The hampers are ready packed and displayed in high racks at the entrance

Bird's nests

The restaurant is spacious, clean and the organized and ZEN-looked furnishings, lightings, wall papers further attracts the shoppers to dine in.

As there was only 2 of us with Ethan, I could not try much of the menu. Hence, we tried only few that day: 1st dish was this leafy green spinach toppled with scarce (a.k.a. kiam siap) dried and shredded scallops & anchovies.

Then followed by this cod fish cooked with sweet Goji Berry, Broccoli,Cordyceps, Astragalus and Astragalus Root (one of my favorite fishes),it’s absolutely delicious…….

We also tried out the claypot rice wine chicken:

the mini wooden stove to keep the dish warm

For the dessert,we had the Longan and Sea Coconut, RM5 for one. It was good in fact.

Generally, i think this restaurant is quite good, food is fresh, tasty & hygenic plus the comfy environment. I am looking forward to try some other menu like the followings in future:

Black chicken with American GInseng

The Nourishing desserts with prepared with Snow jelly ,Ginkgo, White Fungus, etc

Mee Suan (noodle) varieties with rice wine and dried sliced abalone
